The Lonely Hustle
You’re sitting in the driver’s seat & everyone’s sleeping in the back seat.
And you’re driving on and on….
You want someone to take control every once in a while…..

But people are – slow-responders, laid-back, ‘not ready yet’, unable to take responsibility,’too stupid’, unavailable…..
This leaves you with no choice but to take responsibility yourself and carry on alone.
Over time this becomes a habit.
And you stop asking people for help. You stop giving them the key to the controls.
You embody the role of the ‘driver’ who’s self-sufficient and ‘fine’.

We embody an energy when we show up in the world. The world senses that energy and gives it back to us.
We receive what we send out.
If you’re sending out an ‘I’m a strong, independent woman and I can do things on my own. I don’t need anyone ‘ signal
This is what you receive back.
And you feel –
- lonely
- sad
- 'used' & 'spent'
There’s nothing wrong with being self-sufficient.
But it doesn’t mean you have to do it all alone.
Take baby steps and start giving away control to other people.
Climb out of the driver’s seat and leave the keys in the ignition.
Someone else will come up and say ‘Fine, I’ll drive’
This is your cue to lie back in the passenger seat and take a nap.
